December 2025 Holiday Group Show

Meet Christine and other talented artists on December 6th from 4-5pm at the Fountainhead Gallery in Seattle.

The theme of this year’s holiday group show at Fountainhead Gallery is “Choose Courage” and this year I’ll feature a painting I call “Crossing the Straits”, a 24"x45.5" oil on ACM Panel painting.

In the boating world, "crossing the straits" takes an act of courage. Isolation and blown forecasts could cost you your life if you are caught unprepared. Those who cross the straits are sure of what they know, trust the compass, and they accept the risk. “Now is the time to cross.” They are as ready as they'll ever be, and the consequences for staying no longer outweigh the consequences for going.

That doesn't mean it will be easy.

It means the trip is worth the risk. When we are confident in our destination and our knowledge, it’s easy to muster the courage. Even in an isolated, separated place like the middle of big open waters, many friends sail with us. Out here, together.
